How to Format a Pendrive if Windows is Unable

Many times, while formatting your pen drive, the process hangs. It could be that there is file corruption, viruses, or physical damage, or, maybe, it is something else. For times when Windows fails to properly format your pen drive, try this solution.

Steps

   • Open run (win+r).
   • Type "cmd" in the run box and press enter.

   Navigate to your drive: Open my computer and find the drive assigned to your pen drive. Suppose it is H.

   Start formatting. At the command prompt, type format H. Press enter.
