Many times, while formatting your pen drive, the process hangs. It

Steps

Open the command prompt.
- Open run (win+r).
- Type "cmd" in the run box and press enter.

Navigate to your drive: Open my computer and find the drive assigned to your pen drive. Suppose it is H.

Start formatting. At the command prompt, type format H. Press enter.

- You will asked to supply a label name once formatting is complete.
- Input an appropriate name for the pen drive.
